dottycommies.com—This is Alan Schechner's site. You may recall the arguments about his 'Self Portrait at Buchenwald: It's the Real Thing': a montage of Alan standing in front of a famous photo by Margaret Bourke-White of liberated Buchenwald captives, in the typical striped garment and a can of diet coke in his hand. Being German, I intend to keep a low profile and not comment on the argument that was raging between a good part of the Jewish Community, and the artists, curator, and others defending the exhibition 'mirroring evil' where (I believe) this work was first publicly exhibited.
Green & Smart—This is John Lindsay's site which shows how short of a full-blown revolution, better (public transport) interchange engineering can make life easier right now. John's perspective is that of a walker and PT user. He shows the madness of a transport system built around the private motor car. Some texts may appear a bit rushed and erratic, so you have to fill in a bit from context and background knowledge. There are several case studies, for example, on public access to the Modern Tate in London. I have also put up a few papers not available at green & smart at this site.
Josh Greene - Service works . Service-Works provides a monthly project grant. The amount of each month's grant is determined by how much money Josh Greene earns as a waiter (on a specific night) in a fine-dining restaurant in San Francisco.

Netzkunstwoerterbuch—An enyclopedia about net art and conversational art in the widest possible and non-technical sense - in other words, it's about the aesthetics, experience (less politics) of art over the net, written by artists rather than critics. Until recently, everyone could contribute or edit entries without prior registration (it's a Wiki) — due to recent abuse, contributors now need to request a password from the editors.
Otthollo (Peter Ott, Ute Holl)—a site currently containing information on Peter's film 'Jona', which is a very involved and personal interrogation of Hamburg's repressive drug policy (highly recommended—I believe it can be ordered on DVD) as well as information on the film project 'Hölle Hamburg'
Sprezzatura—a site devoted to the concept of a photo and a quote a day. The rules for choice are (as set out in the FAQ) are: Chance / No 'how-to' / No platitudes / Surprise / Focus
Starship—Ein Magazin, Papier und Online (a magazine, print and online versions, also has English content, but I believe not sortable by language). Texts, essays, drawings, other things. A lot of them interesting.
target: autonopop—Quote from start page: "Has something fundamental changed in the art world in the last few years? (...) Have mechanisms set in that narrow the range of what artists/critics/curators can do? «target: autonopop» answers yes to all these questions and takes aim at the commercial art gallery circuit, its products, and the somewhat less (overtly) market-oriented art-institutional context."
theotherblog—the blog of my old (Coventy School of Art & Design) mate Tom Smith—a funny and no-nonsense approach. Tom has a gift of making his curiosity and response to all sorts of puzzling or stupefying things tangible, transparent and very productive.
Ueli Raz - Arbeiten. I stumbled across this very rich site googling Negativität. Many interesting texts and reviews often around the sociology of music, with Adorno as a centre of gravity. There are also photos showing and investigating the Swiss Wallis.
Virtual Ani—A site about the ghost city of Ani and its continuing destruction. Ani was once the capital of an Armenian kingdom. It is now part of Turkey, right at the border to Armenia. A case study showing what politics do to a site and its history.
